Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has revealed that his administration has finalized plans to grant amnesty to 31 deserving prison inmates.
Making the announcement in a New Year broadcast in Jalingo, the state capital, on Monday, he underscored that this decision reflects the administration’s core values of “justice, compassion, and belief in the transformative power of rehabilitation.”
Expressing unwavering commitment to the unity and development of the state, he declared that every citizen across the 168 wards plays an integral role in the collective journey towards prosperity.
He assured that his administration is steadfast in ensuring that the dividends of governance are accessible to all, irrespective of political parties’ differences.
Addressing the pressing issue of security challenges in the state, he pledged to redouble efforts to make the state a safe haven for all citizens.
Confident in overcoming these challenges, the governor, who envisioned a state thriving in peace and harmony, sought collective action from the citizens of the state.
He stressed the importance of setting aside sentiments and rallying support for his administration.
