‘PDP crisis affecting development in Rivers’ – APC

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised concern over the disconnection between the people of the state and the government, following the political instability that has rocked Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s administration.

In a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Darlington Nwauju, APC noted that the political crisis in the state has weakened the government’s policies due to the inaction of the administration in the face of increasing poverty in society.

“Rivers people cannot accept the excuse of political distractions for failing to work assiduously to reduce insecurity and unemployment and provide improved access to education, clean drinking water, and electricity,” the party stated.

Rivers APC further said: “The shenanigans of political crises cannot be enough reason to abandon our people in the dungeon of poverty and cannot be an excuse.

“The governor must come up with a clear development agenda and an actionable plan of execution that can justify the hundreds of billions of naira the state gets in one year. On this note, we urge you [Gov Fubara] to get up, sit up, and get cracking.”

  1. Evil must go on when those that are supposed to speak up against it keep mute. We must condemn what Wike is about to do in Rivers State. Wike is evil and Rivers people will not say that they are not aware of it. Asking Tinubu to intervene is like doubling the problems of Fubara bcos Tinubu will demand for his own on top. I sometimes laugh when i hear the brainless say things like the governor or the minister is not after money, then what is he after. If Tinubu is not after money what possibly is he after? These guys are evil and we must understand that.
