EPL: Man United announces first signing on deadline day

Manchester United have announced the signing of Fenerbahce goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir.

The goalkeeper cost the Premier League side the sum of £4.5 million.

The 25-year-old is now the first Turkish player to play for the Red Devils.

He penned a five-year deal and now replaces Dean Henderson.

Dean Henderson left the club for Crystal Palace in a £20m move.

The Turkey international joined Manchester United with 166 career appearances to his name.

“It is a huge honour to join Manchester United and become the first Turkish player to represent this incredible club,” the Turk told the Red Devils’ official website.
