Dr. Leke Oshunniyi Elected as the New President of King's College Old Boys' Association (KCOBA)

 


The King's College Old Boys' Association (KCOBA) is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Leke Oshunniyi as its new President. This historic event took place yesterday September 24, 2023, during the organization's Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking the culmination of a week-long celebration commemorating the 114th anniversary of King's College Lagos.

Dr. Leke Oshunniyi, a distinguished Private Medical Practitioner and Health Administrator, brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the role. He has been serving as a Director of the Royal Cross Medical Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, since 1990. Dr. Oshunniyi is also a member of the American College of Physician Executives and the National Association of Managed Care Physicians in the USA. His impressive track record includes an appointment as Deputy Managing Director of Multishield Ltd. in June 2010, followed by his subsequent promotion to Managing Director in July 2012. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Health and Managed Care Association of Nigeria (HMCAN) and holds the prestigious title of Fellow of the Institute of Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria (FIHIMN).

Dr. Oshunniyi, a distinguished Mobil Scholar, graduated from the University of Ibadan Medical School in 1982. In addition to his medical qualifications, he holds a Diploma in Finance from Harvard University, showcasing his multidisciplinary expertise.

The new President is joined by a dynamic team of prominent members of the executive committee. Mr. Etigwa Uwa SAN, a renowned lawyer and former Abia State gubernatorial aspirant, assumes the position of General Secretary. Mr. Wole Ekperokun, an accomplished Architect, will serve as the Social Secretary, while Mr. Moses Nasamu, an Energy & Sustainability Expert, will take on the role of Assistant General Secretary.

This transition follows the end of the tenure of the immediate past President, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim Imam, who admirably led the organization for six years from 2017 to 2023. Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim Imam's tenure was marked by significant achievements, and he leaves a legacy that the new leadership aims to build upon.


Dr. Leke Oshunniyi and the newly elected executive committee members are committed to upholding the values and objectives of KCOBA. They aim to steer the organization toward greater achievements and a brighter future.

The election of Dr. Oshunniyi comes at a pivotal time in the history of KCOBA, and his leadership is expected to bring renewed energy and vision to the association.
