Kogi guber: APC primary, biggest fraud in Nigeria’s political history – Shuaibu Audu

Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, son of late Kogi State Governor Prince Abubakar Audu, has rejected the outcome of Kogi State All Progressives Congress, APC, primary which produced Usman Ododo as the party flagbearer for November 11 governorship election.

The young Audu, who was an aspirant in last Friday’s APC primary in Kogi State, described the primary as a highly compromised and fraudulent process characterized by unprecedented irregularities.

In a statement in Lokoja on Monday, signed by David Idoko, spokeperson of Prince shuaibu Abubakar Audu campaign organization, he stated that the enormity of absurdities and infractions which dominated the process of the primary election is incurable and calls for its cancelation.

The statement noted that the primary election of Friday 14th April, 2023, did not hold in most ward centres as officials and materials were not available.

The campaign organisation further stated that the announced results emanated from no polling center rather from a hide-out where results were fictitiously and frivolously concocted and allocated.

He described the process as one of the greatest electoral fraud in Nigeria’s political history.

According to the statement, aspirants and party members who waited in vain to cast their votes discovered that results were announced and votes allocated fraudulently.

The campaign, however call on President Muhammadu Buhari, the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the party Sen. Abdullahi Adamu to intervene.

“We are determined to ensure that justice is done. This we shall pursue to logical conclusion through the Primary Election Appeal Committee and we shall not hesitate eventually if need be to challenge the process in a court of law, as it is an established fact that when and if a party violates its own rules, its actions becomes a nullity,” the statement added.
