Samuel Chukwueze is a major doubt for Villarreal’s LaLiga clash against CeIta Vigo at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday.
The winger picked up a minor injury in the Yellow Submarine’s 4-2 win against Espanyol on Thursday night.
Chukwueze will undergo a late fitness test to ascertain his readiness for the game.
The 23-year-old has been a regular starter for Quique Setién’s side in recent weeks.
The Nigeria international has scored six goals and recorded five assists in 30 league appearances for Villarreal this season.
The Yellow Submarine occupy fifth position on the table and are fighting to secure a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
