Tonto Dikeh, the actress, and Olakunle Churchill, her
ex-husband, have resumed their fight — after more than seven years of
separation.
The pair tied the knot in 2015 but the union ended
controversially two years later. The marriage was blessed with a son.
Since the split, the duo have always aimed digs at each
other on social media. In 2020, they also engaged in a heated war of words on
Instagram.
The recent drama started after Churchill shared a picture of
Omodayo King, their son, on Instagram to celebrate his birthday.
“Happy Birthday my
son, my prince, my flesh and blood- OMODAYO KING OLADUNNI Churchill,” he wrote.
“You are one of life’s most precious gift to me and I love
you dearly.
“Just going down memory lane in thought of your birth gives
me joy. You’re such a blessing to me and I’m forever grateful to the Almighty
God for your life.
“Today, I pray
immensely that you grow to be the person God Has predestined you to be and
nothing in this world ever change your destiny.
“My not so little man! I want you to know that I miss you
greatly and long to see you soon.
“You’re a shining star and your light can never be dimmed.”
The birthday wishes did not, however, go down well with the
actress who took to the photo and video-sharing social networking service to
tackle her ex-husband.
Tonto argued that Churchill has no right to call King his
son.
The actress described her ex-husband as a “mere donor” and
not “King’s father.”
Tonto also accused Churchill of chasing clouts by making the
birthday post.
“YOU ARE NOT A FATHER, YOU ARE THE WORLD NO. 1 D**DBEAT. YOU
ARE BUT A MERE DONOR,” she wrote in a lengthy post.
“Where is your
daughter BIMBO that you have lied to the whole world you don’t have, and why
don’t you take care of her too nor celebrate her??? if she was born by a
CELEBRITY, would she have made your CLOUT PRETENTIOUS BIRTHDAY POST??.
“I have always been capable of taking care of what’s mine,
My son will never need A DIME from you, not even your Name.”
Churchill, in his response via his Instastory, said he had
tried to reach out to his son on several occasions but was always denied
access.
He said “I have a trust fund account set up for my son”
while dismissing Tonto’s claim that he’s a “deadbeat dad”.
“You claim I am a
deadbeat dad but I have a trust fund set up for my child and have tried
severally to send stuff to him, but you swore to always burn anything that
comes from me,” he said.
“Stop trying to bring me down or downplay my efforts. I’m a
man, I always have been and I always will be… I do not run away from my
responsibilities but if you are trying to mess with my mental health, I’lld
rather not have anything to do with you until I can see my child.
“You are not the only one to give birth to a son in Nigeria
or have a failed marriage. People move on, especially when they have something
good going on for them. You are very much aware that I’m a father to thousand
of kids and university students out there. Records don’t lie.”

The truth is that the woman is bitter, probably bcos she didn't make the right decisions when they were married, and fame and influence can make one very pompous. But it's the right call to try and move on. The man on his part was ridiculed after the marriage ended as a one minute man by the ex wife. These are issues. Both of them are both bitter, I bet both wanted the marriage to work but their ego stood firmly in the way of success of their marriage.
