David Beckham jumps over fence, escapes through bushes after watching son’s debut for Brentford

Former Manchester United midfielder, David Beckham, on Tuesday evening, made a bizarre getaway after watching his son Romeo make his debut for Brentford’s second team (team B).

Beckham, who wore an expensive-looking navy waterproof jacket, braved the pouring rain to watch Romeo come on as a second-half substitute in the London Senior Cup clash.

The former England captain seemingly was not keen on dealing with the endless requests for selfies and handshakes from the deluge of fans around him after the match.

The 47-year-old then channelled his inner Bear Grylls by climbing out of the stand before jumping over a fence to make his getaway from Park View Road.

Beckham was, however, hardly subtle with his unplanned exit, which was watched by many of the fans in attendance.

After the former Paris Saint-Germain star climbed out of the stand, a hooded Becks hauled himself over a wooden fence and waded through some prickly bushes to make his escape.

Recall that Romeo recently signed a loan deal with the Londoners from Inter Miami II.

The 20-year-old made his debut in the reserve Bees’ fixture with non-league Erith & Belvedere – who play in the 9th tier of English football.

While Romeo didn’t get on the scoresheet, he played a key role in helping his team to a dramatic 3-2 win against Erith.
