2023: Zamfara communities safe for general elections – Matawalle

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has assured that communities originally being ravaged by the prevailing security challenges are now peaceful and accessible for the conduct of the 2023 general elections.

The Governor disclosed this during a press briefing at his country home in Maradun Local Government Area of the State while speaking on the issues of the N30,000 minimum wage for state civil servants, thuggery and other issues.

Governor Matawalle urged Nigerians to continue to support the security agencies to ensure an end to the prevailing insecurity ravaging the entire country to restore peace, order and stability.

He said he does not know where information is coming from that the forthcoming elections would be postponed due to insecurity, dismissing speculations that northerners will support only a northern presidential candidate.

The Governor noted that his administration had implemented the N30,000 minimum wage and is set to provide houses for workers as part of efforts to improve their welfare for maximum productivity.
