Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Sunday denied dumping
the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
Bello said his support for Tinubu’s presidential ambition is
100 per cent.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, the governor said
his support for Tinubu is undiluted.
There were reports that Bello dumped Tinubu’s campaign team
over the APC flagbearer’s choice of governorship candidate in Kogi State.
Tinubu is reported to have opted for James Faleke as APC’s
next governorship candidate in the state.
His action is reported to have angered his National Youth
Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
Reacting, Bello wrote: “My unwavering support for
Tinubu/Shettima 2023 is 100% undiluted. God bless APC!!! God bless the Federal
Republic of Nigeria!”
The rumour is coming barely 24 hours after Naja’atu
Muhammad, a key player in the Tinubu-Shettima campaign dumped the APC.
