To those I may have offended, don’t visit my sins on Oyebanji - Fayemi to Ekiti APC

Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti, says those he may have offended shouldn’t visit his sins on Biodun Oyebanji, his successor.

He said this during a Christmas party organised by him and his wife, for All Progressives Congress (APC) executives at ward, local government, and state levels, at Isan Ekiti.

In October, Oyebanji took over from Fayemi, after he defeated Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Bisi Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the June 19 governorship election.

In a post by the former governor on Tuesday, Fayemi urged stakeholders in Ekiti APC to unite in order to secure victory for the party in the 2023 elections.

“In my remarks, I reiterated my stance that Mr Biodun Oyebanji is now the symbol of progressive politics in Ekiti as our Governor and Leader and he’s fully deserving of our unrestrained support,” he said.

“I also appealed to all those I might have offended not to visit my sins on the Governor.

“Instead, we should all rally and deepen our engagement with our people.

“Our belief in the power of collective wisdom has been reinforced, and we are keen to work assiduously for the success of our party in the 2023 elections.”
