Former Lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has lamented that marketers of the Premium Moto Spirit, PMS always target the Christmas season to make profit via artificial scarcity of the product.
It was reported that the long queue at fuel stations usually experienced during yuletide resurfaced in the last few days.
Despite the 48 hours ultimatum issued to the oil marketers by the Department of State Services, DSS to make the product available for Nigerians, the queue is yet to ease off.
Lamenting the incessant scarcity during yuletide, the former lawmaker, in a tweet on his official handle, backed the DSS for the move.
He wrote, “It’s sad that petroleum marketers habitually target Yuletide season in order to make ungodly profits by making life hard for motorists and unbearable for the general public. The directives of the Dss to the marketers are in order”.
