World Cup: Stop asking Portugal players about me – Ronaldo opens up on ‘face-off’ with Fernandes

Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed his well publicised conversation with club teammates, Bruno Fernandes.

Ronaldo also asked the media to stop disturbing his Portugal teammates about his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

The Manchester United forward had an explosive interview with Morgan where he spoke about the club, the hierarchy, manager, the owners and even his fellow players.

Mabchester United are currently considering firing the 37-year-old as a result of the interview.

“Timing is always timing. From your side it is easy to look at how we can choose timings,” Ronaldo told reporters in Qatar.

“Sometimes you write truths, sometimes you write lies. I don’t have to worry about what others think. I talk when I want to. Everybody knows who I am and what I believe in.

“Please, don’t ask the players about me. Ask about the World Cup. I’m bulletproof and iron clad.”

Speaking about a clip that went viral last week of him reuniting with Fernandes in Portugal’s World Cup camp, Ronaldo said they were just ‘playing around’.

“His plane was late, so I asked him if he had come by boat.”
