A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the Managing
Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Mathew Pwajok.
Justice Babs Kuewumi of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi,
Lagos, gave the ruling on Tuesday.
Pwajok, who was appointed by President Muhammadu Bihari in
January, is accused of disobedience to court order.
In July 2022, the judge issued a subpoena against Pwajok,
ordering him to release some documents.
The files are needed in the ongoing trial of ex-NAMA MD,
Ibrahim Abdulsalami and others for an alleged N2.8billion fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes and Commission (EFCC) is
prosecuting the case.
Abdulsalam is facing trial alongside Nnamdi Udoh (at large),
Adegorite Olumuyiwa, Segun Agbolade, Clara Aliche.
Others are Joy Ayodele Adegorite, Randville Investment
Limited and Multeng Travels and Tours Limited.
The defendants allegedly conspired to induce NAMA to deliver
N2.8billion to Delosa Limited, Air Sea Delivery Limited and Sea Schedule Systems
Limited.
They claimed that the money represented the cost of clearing
NAMA’s consignments.
