Frederick Leonard, the Nollywood actor, has unveiled Peggy Ovire, his colleague in the movie industry, as his lover.

On Friday, the film star took to his Instagram page to pen a romantic message to Ovire on the occasion of her birthday.

In the post, Leonard vowed to cherish and love the actress in “good and all times”.

He also reiterated his love for her, while describing Ovire as “my valentine”.

Leonard added that he will always celebrate their love.

“To have and hold. To love and to cherish… In good times and in all times. Through the years, my love for you has remained constant…look how far we’ve come Baby,” he wrote.

“It’s your birthday today and so the world celebrates you. But our love, I will celebrate always. Happy birthday, @peggyovire. My baby, my valentine, I LOVE YOU.”

In November 2020, the movie star revealed why he was still single at 44.

“No, I have not lost hope in marriage. It is just the time we live in. I believe in marriage and even the Bible says that it is not good for man to be alone. I do not want to end up alone. I do not want to end up miserable,” he had said.

“I want to be with someone who I have a lot of things in common with; someone I’m compatible with. I believe in the institution of marriage, and I think that people should be more realistic with themselves when it comes to picking a partner.”

The Nollywood star, who has been in the industry for almost two decades, debuted his acting career in 2001 where he played brief one-scene roles and took a break from acting in order to complete his university education and obtain a degree.

He got his first-ever lead role in 2008 in ‘Indian Doctor’, a classic film.

In 2009, Leonard was featured in ‘Disclosure’, a hit TV series, which aired predominantly on Africa Magic on DSTV.
