The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus
Keyamo, has rubbished the outcry about the whereabouts of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
Keyamo said the oppositions are afraid and have nightmares
due to Tinubu’s absence.
In a tweet, the APC presidential campaign council spokesman
said Tinubu’s refusal to disclose his whereabouts was a political strategy.
Keyamo noted that the strategy was to keep the opposition
guessing about Tinubu’s whereabouts.
He wrote: “Whether he’s around or not, they’re scared.
@officialABAT has become their nightmare. The inquiries are out of FEAR as to
what he is up to.
“The biggest political strategy is to keep your opponent
guessing! Even by mere absence, @officialABAT remains the issue in this
campaign.”
A cross-section of Nigerians had raised the alarm over
Tinubu’s whereabouts following his absence during the peace pact signing.
The APC presidential candidate had sent his running mate,
Kashim Shettima, to the event.
His absence is coming more than 72 hours into the official campaign
for the 2023 general elections, a situation that has generated concerns among
his supporters.
Tinubu left the country unannounced on Sunday for the United
Kingdom, fueling speculation that the candidate may be in the UK for medical
attention, considering that he spent some months in that country.
