The Kaduna State Government has expressed regrets over the prolonged gridlock along the Kaduna-Abuja road.
Recall that motorists and road users had experienced severe gridlock for the past two weeks, making the journey of two hours from Kaduna-Abuja almost four hours.
Following this, Mr. Samuel Aruwan Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, on Friday, regretted the inconvenience to people plying the road.
He said the Kaduna State Government was discussing with Julius Berger PLC and other relevant agencies to ensure that obstructions are promptly cleared and the gridlock is eased for normal movement of traffic as soon as possible.
“The Government once more reiterates its deep regret of the situation and conveys its understanding of the significant pains being endured by citizens and commuters in the protracted situation,” he said.
