The former Governor of Kano State and currently Senator
representing Kano Central, Ibrahim Shekarau, has defected to the Peoples
Democratic Party.
Shekarau defected on the floor of the Senate during the
plenary on Wednesday.
He was a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP,
before his defection.
He had earlier moved from the All Progressives Congress to
the NNPP.
