2023: ‘We’ll give you 3m votes’ — Lagos assembly aspirants promise Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos state house of assembly aspirants forum for All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to deliver three million votes for Bola Tinubu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2023.

Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the APC ahead of next year’s election while Sanwo-Olu is seeking re-election as governor of Lagos.

In a statement on Monday, Adeyinka Odukoya, the forum’s coordinator, said the group’s members remain committed to ensuring total victory for all other candidates in the party in 2023.

“Our party candidates, led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates can be rest assured of victory at the polls as we have mapped strategies with our loyal and faithful allies across all constituencies in Lagos state,” Odukoya said.

“We are targeting to reach out to many Nigerians, party and non-party members who possess permanent voters card with a view to convincing them to cast their votes for all our candidates in the interest of our country and Lagos state in particular.

“We have identified the various markets in each local government and local council development areas within the state with well-mapped out strategy and plans to ensure that we reach the potential voters in their comfort zones, especially those who are not card-carrying members of our great party.

“Our members will re-invigorate their networks and influence within their various constituencies to galvanise votes for all the candidates in line with the vision of our leaders.”

Odukoya said the group plans to meet Sanwo-Olu soon to update him on details of the mapped out strategy towards achieving the required synergy.
