Members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Wednesday stormed the Yar’adua Center, Abuja, venue of the unveiling of Kashim Shettima as running mate to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Many Christians have expressed outrage that Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is running on a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidency.
CAN had vowed to mobilise its members not to vote for the APC’s presidential candidate for snubbing the Christian community in his choice of a running mate.
But on Wednesday, members of CAN were seen queuing to enter the venue to witness the unveiling of Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate.
