EPL: Chelsea announce departure of four more players

Chelsea have confirmed that four of their players are leaving the club.

These players include Barcelona-bound Andreas Christensen, Danny Drinkwater, Charly Musonda and Jake Clarke-Salte.

German boss, Thomas Tuchel has trimmed his first-team squad, with former Leicester City midfielder, Drinkwater, who hardly kicked a ball at Stamford Bridge set to leave.

Barcelona have concluded plans to sign Christensen on a free transfer, while Drinkwater will look to revive his career at another English club.

Chelsea academy graduates Charly Musonda and Jake Clarke-Salter have also left Stamford Bridge after failing to make an impact in West London.

“Chelsea Football Club thanks Andreas for his contribution to our success in the last decade and wishes him well in his future career,” a Chelsea statement said.

“We also thank Danny, Charly and Jake for their service and wish them all the best for the future.”

Meanwhile, German defender, Antonio Rudiger, has already left the club for Real Madrid.
