Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Benin Zonal Command have arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City.
EFCC in a statement on its Twitter page said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at their hideout following actionable intelligence.
The Commission identified the suspects as Makata Lucky, Samson Shakore, Ase Daniel, Osamwonu Terry, Moses Nosa, Makata John, Mataka James, Eze Solomon and Emmanuel Noghase
Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include Mobile phones and two cars (Lexus 330EX and Accura MDX) were recovered from the suspects.
The anti-graft agency added that the suspects have made useful statements and will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
