Adamu Aliyu, chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders
Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Gwagwalada council area, has been reportedly

Sunday, said gunmen invaded a community around Daku area in Abuja on Thursday
evening and killed Aliyu and four other persons.
According to Daily Trust, Usman said the MACBAN council
chairman was on his way back from Niger state when bandits opened fire on the
vehicle in which he was travelling.
“They were retuning from Izom market in Niger state where
they went to sell cows, until just one kilometer to Daku village when the
bandits suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on the truck, killing
the MACBAN chairman and four others,” he was quoted as saying.
Usman added that three people were abducted during the
incident, while three other persons who sustained gunshot injuries are
currently receiving treatment at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in
Gwagwalada.
When contacted, Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the FCT
police command, said the command was yet to confirm the incident.
Meanwhile, the development comes months after gunmen killed
Abubakar Abdullahi, chairman of the Lere LGA chapter of the MACBAN in Kaduna.
During the attack which occurred in September 2021, the
gunmen were said to have invaded Abdullahi’s home in Kaduna, and forced him to
raise N250,000 from some butchers in his community, before he was killed.
