2023: Osinbajo visits Olubadan over presidential ambition

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has visited the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun.

Osinbajo visited the Olubadan at his Alarere residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State.

The VP arrived at the palace at 11am on Friday

Our correspondent who was at the Olubadan palace during the visit gathered that the visit is part of the efforts by Osinbajo to realise his presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 elections.

The Vice President was accompanied to the monarch’s residence by the Deputy Governor of the state, Rauf Olaniyan, former Senate leader, Senator Teslim Folarin and Chairman of APC in the state, Isaac Omodewu.

Others are Senators Kola Balogun, Fatai Bihari and Mr. Sina Alabi.

Recall that Osinbajo had a few days ago declared his presidential ambition on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osinbajo while addressing journalists at the end of the visit said he visited the monarch to pay his respects.

The VP who addressed the journalists for a few seconds said “I came here to visit the monarch.

“I am here to pay respects to the Olubadan of Ibadan land”.

  1. Yemi Osibajo are all Yoruba names and whatever they mean, only yoruba people can answer to that but there come a time in every humans life when confronted with two options that only one choice is acceptable. That is the choice facing every Nigerian now. Osibajo may not be the best of candidates but he can deliver. For us and i think i speak the mind of many in this assertion, VP Osibajo is a better candidate than the Tinubus of this world or the Atikus. It is my small but fervent prayers that God helps us in choosing a good leader this time around. Yemi is our best bet.
