Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo, has sent a good luck
message to the Black Stars ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup second leg
playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja, reports Completesports.com.
Nana Akufo-Addo, while addressing the nation in the 28th
national update on how Ghana has dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic, concluded
his speech by wishing the Black Stars well and stated that the team gave a good
account of themselves in the first leg against Nigeria.
“I wish the Black Stars, who gave a good account of
themselves in Kumasi, the best of luck in Abuja on Tuesday,” Akufo-Addo said.
The Black Stars had played a 0-0 draw in the first leg
against Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, last Friday.
Ghana players and their officials are expected to arrive in
Abuja today (Monday) for the highly-anticipated clash.
The Black Stars are expected to have their last training
session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, by 6 pm on Monday ahead of
Tuesday’s clash.
The winner over the two legs will qualify for the World Cup
