EPL: Danny Murphy makes surprising top four prediction

Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has given reasons Tottenham would finish above Arsenal in the race for Premier League top four this season.

Murphy believes that a combination of manager, Antonio Conte’s technical know-how and striker Harry Kane’s return to form will help Spurs seal Champions League qualification at the expense of Arsenal.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham are locked in a battle for fourth place.

Despite their defeat to Liverpool last night, the Gunners are still in pole position to finish fourth, having at least one more game than the others in the battle.

Murphy told Stadium Astro: “I’ve just got a feeling when I look at the fixtures, I make Arsenal the favourites but I think Tottenham might sneak in.

“The two reasons I think they might sneak in is because Conte has always had success everywhere he’s gone.

“The other thing is Harry Kane is just hitting the straps at the right time he just looks so strong and powerful at the moment.

“So I’ve just got a feeling Tottenham will sneak in for some reason.”
