Transfer: Chelsea’s January target agrees terms with new club

Everton left-back Lucas Digne has already accepted personal terms to join Aston Villa this January transfer window.

The defender is all but set to sign a long-term contract with Steven Gerrard’s side, according to talkSPORT.

The club is hopeful of completing a £25 million swoop for the wantaway Everton left-back this week.

Everton boss, Rafael Benitez has already confirmed that the left-back wanted to quit Goodison Park.

The 28-year-old only signed a new contract with Everton in February 2021 which was supposed to run until 2025 and is said to be earning £120,000-a-week.

Chelsea were keen on signing the Frenchman as a replacement for injured England international, Ben Chilwell.
