PHOTOS: Sanwo-Olu receives panel report on Ikoyi building collapse

 

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, on Wednesday, received the report of the panel set up to investigate the building collapse at Ikoyi area of the state.

 

On November 1, 2021, the 21-storey structure, which was being developed by Fourscore Homes, caved in.

 

Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, is one of more that 40 persons who died in the collapse.

 

Following the incident, the governor had set up a panel to “get to the root” of the circumstances surrounding the collapse.

 

Members of the panel include Toyin Ayinde, chairman; Ekundayo Onajobi, a lawyer in a private firm; Akintilo Adeleke, a structural engineer; and Yinka Ogundairo, an architect.

 

Others are Godfrey O. Godfrey, a representative of the Institute of Builders, and Bunmi Ibrahim, a real estate lawyer.

 

Also present at the presentation of the report on Wednesday were Obafemi Hamzat, deputy governor of Lagos; Ayinde, chairman of the panel; and Moyosore Onigbanjo, attorney-general of the state.
