Nine escape death as moving train crush truck, tricycle in Kano

At least nine persons have escaped death after a train crushed a Dangote cement truck and one tricycle in Kano State.

Public Relations Officer of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, Kano State, Abdullahi Labaran confirmed the incident.

He said the incident occurred on Sunday along Obasanjo Road in the Kano metropolis.

Abdullahi said about nine persons were injured while the vehicles and accompanying properties were damaged.

He said the FRSC rescue team conveyed nine victims to the Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital in Kano for medical attention.

An eyewitness told newsmen that the truck driver ignored warnings by bystanders about the movement of the train, as a result, the train rammed into the truck and the tricycle while trying to cross the rail line.
