AFCON 2021: We play football on field, not in names, we’ll fight you – Sudan’s Hamid warns Super Eagles

Sudan midfielder, Yassin Hamid has issued a warning to Nigeria ahead of both teams’ 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tie on Saturday.

Hamid warned Nigeria that football is played on the field and not in names.

He said that the Falcons of Jediane will fight the Super Eagles at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua, to fulfill their ambition at the 2021 AFCON.

Sudan had drawn 0-0 against Guinea-Bissau in their first game on Tuesday, while Nigeria defeated Egypt 1-0.

“In these tournaments, we can draw or win. Football is played on the field, not in names,” Hamid told CAF’s official website.

“Nigeria are a superstar team and we are a young team, but we will fight to fulfill our ambition to go past the group stage.”

The kick-off time for the Nigeria vs Sudan game is 5 pm.
