Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has said he wants Nigeria
to remember him after the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in
Cameroon.
Chukwueze, who scored his first goal at the 2021 AFCON
against Sudan, said this ahead of Nigeria’s final Group D fixture against
Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
He explained that he does not miss his club, Villarreal,
adding that his focus is to win his first AFCON with the Super Eagles.
“For now, I don’t miss my club, I am just focusing on my
country,” the 22-year-old told Brila TV.
“I need to do everything possible for them to win the
trophy.
“I have won a trophy for my club, so I want to win a trophy
for my country, also so that they will remember me.”
