Police begin probe as hoodlums burn Imo court

The Imo State Police Command has begun investigation into the burning of a Magistrate’s court in Ubulu in the Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State.

Hoodlums had on Monday attacked and razed the Magistrate’s court.

The miscreants, who were over 15, reportedly came with explosive devices and immediately ignited fire on the court.

The development caused tension in the community as many deserted their homes.

But the spokesperson for the police in the state, Micheal Abattam, told newsmen on Wednesday that the state commissioner of police, Rabiu Hussaini, had ordered a holistic investigation into the case of arson.

Abattam, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said that the command was working hard to apprehend the attackers.
