I am interested in growth, development of FUT Minna – IBB

The former Military President Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has said he is interested in the growth and development of the Federal University of Technology, FUT, Minna Niger State.

The former president stated this when he played host to members of the Governing Council of FUT Minna at his Uphill Residence.

He said he will continue to support the institution to an enviable height worthy of emulation.

“I am proud of the Federal University of Technology Minna, which has been doing well. I am interested in its growth. I assure you that I will do my best to ensure that the University remains an example to emulate by others,” the former Military President stated.

Earlier, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof.Olu Obafemi, who led the delegation expressed delight at meeting with Gen. IBB whom he described as a man of wisdom and a front line patriot.

“Gen. Babangida is a pillar to the growth of FUT, Minna and he remains a patriarch to the institution, which has evolved to become one of the best in the country.

“I am confident that the University you nurtured is growing in leaps and bounds and it is not disappointing you,” the Pro-Chancellor said.

He also pleaded with him to use his influence to further assist in making FUT more secure to ensure unhindered academic progress.

Other members of the delegation include the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Bala; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta; Registrar, Mr. Amos Nmadu Kolo; Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Maru, Dr. Chike Onwe; Hon. Cletus Obun and Mrs. Asta Ndajiwo.
