Police arrest two suspected armed robbers, recover gun in Delta


The Eagle-Net Patrol Team of the Nigeria Police Force on routine stop-and-search duty along Ughelli-Warri road in Delta State has arrested two suspected armed robbers in the area.

The two suspects are Kelly Ogoja (35yrs) and Joseph Samuel (26yrs).

The Police also recovered a locally-made gun from the suspects.

The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, disclosed this in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

The Police image maker said the Eagle-Net Squad intercepted one commercial Vinto car with Reg. No. UGH 14 ND with six occupants.

According to DSP Edafe,” Two of the occupants, one Kelly Ogoja ‘m’ age 35yrs of Adabrasa community Okpe and Joseph Samuel ‘m’ age 26yrs of Osubi Community, immediately jumped down and ran into a nearby bush.

“They were chased and arrested and upon searching them, one locally-made pistol was recovered from Kelly Ogoja.”

While noting that the suspects and exhibit are in custody, DSP Edafe said an investigation is ongoing.
