Abductors of Dr. Ibrahim Musa Garba, Permanent Secretary,
Niger State Ministry of Transport, have demanded N60 million as ransom from his
family.
Recall that Garba, alongside his three-year-old
son, was kidnapped on Friday at a wedding ceremony at his residence in Zungeru,
Wushishi Local Government Area of the state.
A family source told this medium that the abductors called
the family on Sunday evening demanding the amount before releasing him and his
three-year-old son.
According to the source, “The call by the kidnappers came on
Sunday in the evening demanding N60 million. The source said the abductors
later agreed to collect N30 million after pleading with them.”
The source further explained that the family cannot raise
the N30 million to secure the release of Garba and his son.
He, therefore, appealed to the Niger State Government to
come to the family’s rescue towards ensuring their release from their
abductors.
