Insecurity: How Masari vindicated Nnamdi Kanu, Ortom on bandits’ identity – Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju of Concerned Nigerian advocacy group has reacted to Governor Bello Masari’s remark on Fulanis and bandits.

Adeyanju said Masari’s comment has vindicated Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State that Fulanis are behind the insecurity in Nigeria.

In a tweet, the social-political activist wrote: “Masari has vindicated Ortom, Nnamdi Kanu and others who have consistently said Fulanis are the ones behind the insecurity and killings in Nigeria. For emphasis, Masari categorically said Fulanis are behind all the killings and insecurity in the country.”

Masari had said bandits are majorly Fulani herdsmen who speak the same language, profess the same religious belief as himself.

According to him, “These bandits are not aliens, they are people we know. They are people that have been living with us for hundreds of years.

“Majority of those involved in this banditry are Fulanis. Whether it is believable or not, that is the truth. These are people who live in the forest and their major occupation is rearing of cattle”.
