Buhari’s ex-Minister loses son, presidency reacts

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of Aliyu Abubakar, son of Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, a former Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment.

 

Buhari expressed his condolence over Abubakar’s death, describing his demise as extremely sad.

 

Abubakar died in a crash while his two brothers and sister who survived are currently admitted to a hospital.

 

However, the president prayed for the quick recovery of those in the hospital.

 

Buhari’s condolence was contained, in a message to the father of the deceased, Alhaji Kabiru Mukhtar and the former Minister.

 

The message was delivered by the president’s personal aides, Ya’u Darazo, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Special Duties, Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity and Ambassador Lawal Kazaure, State Chief of Protocol.

 

The president urged medical teams attending to the survivors to do their best for other victims of the accident under their care.

 

Buhari also prayed to Allah to repose the soul of the deceased and grant fortitude to the family and the friends of the deceased to bear the loss.
