COVID-19 has killed 21 more Nigerians in the last 24 hours, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has revealed.
Figures released by the Centre late Monday night showed that the nation posted 387 new cases and 21 deaths.
The new cases represent a slight rise in COVID-19 cases compared to the 365 cases recorded on Sunday.
According to the NCDC, “On the 13th of September 2021, 387 new confirmed cases and 21 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
“Till date, 199,538 cases have been confirmed, 188,427 cases have been discharged and 2619 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“The 387 new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (114), Rivers (91), FCT (32), Edo (31), Delta (28), Kwara (20), Bayelsa (18), Akwa Ibom (15), Oyo (10), Osun (8), Gombe (5), Plateau (5), Ekiti (4), Ogun (3), Kano (2) and Kaduna (1)
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
The NCDC also reports 1,700 recoveries for Lagos State from 11th September 2021, including community discharges.
