Plateau only need peace to be Africa’s Europe – Shehu Sani

Against all odds, the former Senator Representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, on Saturday, said Plateau State need peace to be Africa’s Europe because of its rich cultural heritage.

Recall that since a group of youths along Rukuba Road in the Jos North LGA attacked and killed 22 Muslim travellers, Plateau State has known no peace.

On Tuesday last week, suspected gunmen attacked and killed 36 persons in Yelwa Zangam community in Jos North LGA.

Only few hours ago, the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven, in a press conference, raised the alarm over a “planned terrorist attack” on both Langtang North and Langtang South local government areas.

Hon. Joshua told pressmen that those planning the attack came in through Wase Local Government Area and Kadarko.

Reacting, Senator Sani wrote on his Facebook wall, “Plateau state is a Divinely blessed state. It has a unique ‘temperate’ climatic condition. It has an unusual topography and scenic geography;

“It has species of plants and varieties of food crops exclusively endowed to the people of the state by nature. Nature favourably crowned them with ornaments of rocks.

“No state is so richly gifted. And the creator also gave them the multitudes of religious beliefs and ethnicities.

“The first blessing makes their state the most beautiful bride of nature; the second blessing makes their state the dreadful theatre of intolerance. It’s an ironic state with Apples, Roses and swords. Plateau only needs peace to be Africa’s Europe.”
