Plateau killings: Gov. Badaru calls for calm in Northern Nigeria


Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has called on youths in the Northern part of Nigeria to remain calm and allow security forces carry out their duties.

The advice was contained n a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Jigawa State on New Media Auwalu D. Sankara.

He said the Governor made the call after he paid a visit to commiserate with the Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong at the state government house in Jos, over the recent killings.

It was reported that travellers from Bauchi State were murdered on their way home to the southwest of the country.

According to the Governor, the Nigerian security forces have already begun making series of arrests of the people who murdered the innocent travellers.

He, however, urged the people of the state to cooperate with security agencies in efforts to bring the perpetrators to book.
