COVID-19: NCDC confirms 655 new cases, more deaths

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has recorded 655 fresh cases of COVID-19 in eight states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The health agency made this known in a post on its verified Facebook page on Wednesday morning.

According to NCDC, five additional deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

So far, the country has recorded 188,243 cases of the dreaded virus with about 169, 035 patients recovered after treatment.

However, no fewer than 2, 281 patients have died due to complications.
