Wizkid, Nigerian singer, has snagged two nominations at the
2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) for his role in ‘Brown Skin Girl’, a 2019
song by Beyonce.
The project, which is a track off ‘The Lion King: The Gift’,
Beyonce’s hit album, was nominated for the ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best
R&B’ categories respectively.
Beyonce had last year released the visuals for the project
which also featured Blue Ivy Carter, her first daughter with Jay-Z, and Saint
JHN.
Wizkid has snagged several awards and recognition for featuring in the song including his first-ever Grammy award in March.
