The former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria by the federal government.
Atiku reacted through his verified account on the suspended micro-blogging platform, Twitter. In his exact words, “Hopefully, this isn't my last tweet. #smile”.

Lai Mohammed, minister of information, announced the “indefinite” suspension in a statement issued on Friday by Segun Adeyemi, his spokesman.
Twitter’s suspension by the federal government comes days after a post by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 1967 civil war was deleted by the microblogging platform.
