2021 UTME: JAMB gives new instruction to candidates of delisted centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has told candidates who were scheduled to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in delisted centres to print new examination notification slips.

In a terse statement by Dr Fabian Benjamin, spokesperson for JAMB, the exam body asked the candidates to start printing their notifications from Sunday for their new scheduled date and time.

The statement read, “This applies only to centres delisted. You will recall that 24 centres were delisted for performing below the tolerable limit of the Board, while over 40 others were put on the watchlist.”

JAMB delisted 25 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country for poor performance at the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held nationwide on Saturday, June 19.

The 2021 UTME was being conducted in 777 designated centres across Nigeria before the delisting of 25 centres.

Over 1.3 million candidates registered for this year’s UTME across the country.
