COVID-19: Nigeria records 71 fresh cases in 9 states, FCT

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 71 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This brings the total number of recorded cases of COVID-19 in the country to 163,652.

The health agency announced this on Friday night via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.

The agency recorded one death after many days of zero fatality.

So far, the agency has successfully treated about 154,073 patients while no fewer than 2,059 persons have died due to complications from the virus.
