Champions League: Key Liverpool players miss training ahead of Real Madrid second leg

Liverpool were without a few of their squad players, when they trained ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid.

The Reds go into the game 3-1 down from the first leg in Madrid.

However, they would have been buoyed by their 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, which brought to an end a run of six successive Anfield losses.

Both Curtis Jones and Divock Origi were not included in the 20-man matchday squad for the Villa win. And neither were spotted in training on Tuesday.

Jones has not played for Liverpool since he taken off shortly after the hour mark in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on March 4.

Alisson Becker was also not spotted at the session, although he isn’t expected to miss the match.
