Zamfara kidnap: Students now targets, cash cows for bandits – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, on Tuesday reacted to the release of abducted students of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Jangebe, Zamfara State.

Sani said the abduction and release of the girls was an indication that students are now targets and cash cows for bandits.

Recall that bandits had last week abducted the GGSS students in Jangebe, Talata Mafara Local Government Area, Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The bandits, however, released the girls following the assistance of some repentant bandits and security agents.

Reacting, the former lawmaker who described the abduction of students as a tragedy, said such acts must stop.

In a tweet, the activist called for the protection of schools.

Sani tweeted: “The release of the abducted Students Girls of Jangebe, Zamfara State is a relief and a welcome development.

“It is clear to us now that students have become easy targets and cash cows for bandits. This repeated tragedy must come to an end. All schools must be secured.”
