Kaduna govt confirms fresh abduction of pupils, teachers by suspected bandits



The Kaduna State Government on Monday said it has received the reports on the kidnapping of teachers and pupils of LGEA primary school in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan.

Though details of the number of pupils and teachers kidnapped are still sketchy, Mr. Aruwan explained that, the Kaduna State Government was receiving security reports of the kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rama, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.”

“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA.”

The statement says ”the State Government is currently obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers reported to have been kidnapped and will issue a comprehensive statement as soon as possible.”
