The Simpsons writer, Marc Wilmore dies of COVID-19

 

Marc Wilmore, a writer for ‘The Simpsons’, an American animated sitcom, has passed on at 57 after losing the battle COVID-19.

 

Larry Wilmore, his brother, broke the sad news in an emotional Twitter post on Monday.

 

In the post, Larry revealed that his brother breathed his last after losing the battle to COVID-19 and other health conditions that have caused him pains over the years.

 

He described the deceased as the “kindest and funniest angel” he has ever met, adding that he would miss him.

“My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling COVID and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years. My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known. I love you little brother,” he wrote.

Marc kick-started his career as a television writer in 1992 with ‘In Living Color’, an American comedy series.

 

He would later join ‘The Tonight Show’, an American late-night talk show, with Jay Leno between 1995 and 1998.

 

The actor cum comedian joined ‘The Simpsons’ writing staff in 2002 during its 13th season and went on to establish himself as a popular figure with his contributions to the series.

Marc snagged numerous awards as well as recognitions during his illustrious career including an Emmy as the producer for the episode ‘Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind’.

 

His demise further the further stretches the list of celebrities who have passed away from COVID-19 since the dawn of the year.
