In what seems like his experience after his arrest on Saturday, 13th February 2021 by the Nigerian police for joining #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest, popular comedian Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni has released a skit he entitled "one coward, 39 heroes".
Mr Macaroni and others had gathered on Saturday morning to protest against the decision of the Lagos judicial panel, which granted approval to the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) to resume operations at the tollgate but were arrested, arraigned before a mobile court at Panti, Yaba before they were granted bail.
They were arraigned
on charges bordering on flouting the COVID-19 protocol on public gatherings,
and “breaking an order not to protest”.
Mr Macaroni who has been quiet on social media has now released a skit detailing how they were treated by the police after their arrest. Watch below
